- Diamonds In The Dark
- Available now on Sugar Hill Records, Diamonds In The Dark is twelve songs of roots-punk-rock-country with influences ranging from Merle Haggard to Sid Vicious, from Hank Williams to X (including a cover of the classic X song 'Come Back To Me'). Diamonds In The Dark is full of hooks, heart-on-her-sleeve vocals, and songs as diverse as Borges' background. Produced by studio whiz Paul Q. Kolderie (Radiohead, the Pixies, Uncle Tupelo), Diamonds conjures up images of barroom brawls, intimate discussions, and the joy and sadness of the simple truths about life.
RINGO STARR - Liverpool 8
- On January 15th Ringo Starr released Liverpool 8, his first new album with Capitol/EMI since 1974's Goodnight Vienna. Liverpool 8 is available worldwide on CD, USB wristband, and digitally, and the album's title track debuted as a digital single on December 4. Starr launched the album with a hometown performance on January 12 to commence Liverpool's 2008 Capital of Culture celebrations.
SALLY ANTHONY - Goodbye
- Early DIY success set the stage for the recent release of her new album, Goodbye (Gracie Productions/EMI). In its first week, the album quickly shot to the Top 10 of the Billboard Heatseekers Chart, landing at #9 and staying on the chart for 4 consecutive weeks. Goodbye also landed at #16 on the iTunes chart of best-selling pop albums. The second single "So Long" is quickly gaining attention on radio and online, and a video for the song was just released.
MINDY SMITH - My Holiday
- Available now on Vanguard Records, My Holiday is an eleven song collection that features six original tunes written or co-written by Mindy Smith. The album features such classic Christmas recordings as "Away In A Manger" (featuring Alison Krauss on harmony vocals), "The Christmas Song," "Silver Bells," and "I'll Be Home For Christmas." My Holiday is Mindy's third release for Vanguard, following her widely acclaimed sophomore release Long Island Shores and her debut release One Moment More, which went on to sell close to 300,000 copies. Her music has a broad appeal and can be classified as all of the following: folk, country, Americana, bluegrass, pop, rock, and even alternative
